IntroductionThe 23-liter Valley beater (Valley beater) is an international standard equipment for papermaking laboratories. It is an essential equipment for studying the pulping and papermaking process. The machine uses the mechanical force generated by the flying knife roll and the bottom knife to convert various fiber pulps. The material is cut, crushed, rubbed, split, swelled and fiber thinned, and at the same time, the fiber is displaced and deformed, and the primary wall and the outer layer of the primary wall are broken. According to the pressure on the bedknife and the beating time, the changes of pulp with different beating degrees can be obtained. The Valley beating machine is widely used in the beating test of various plant fibers, synthetic fibers, carbon fibers, and glass fibers. This machine meets ISO 5264/I, TAPPI-T200m and GB7980-87 laboratory beating Valley beater method (Pulps-laboratory beating-Valley beater method) and other standards. PrincipleCut 360 grams of absolutely dry samples into small pieces about 25x25 mm by hand, soak them in water and stir with a standard dissociator. After the pulp sample was opened, the suspension was introduced into the Valli beater and made up to 23 liters with water. Start the Valli beater and keep it running for 3 minutes without weight. Take samples before actual grinding. Then hang a 5.5 kg weight on the carrier arm to start the beating process. Set the beating time according to the beating process. After the time is up, the Valley beater will automatically stop, and the pulp can be used for the next step of paper forming.
